How it is used
- Bound to the cheek: 脸颊 (liǎnjiá) cheek, 面颊 (miànjiá) cheek; 泪水滑过脸颊 (lèishuǐ huáguò liǎnjiá) tears sliding down the cheeks.
- Slightly literary; casual speech often just says 脸.
- 两颊 (liǎng jiá) both cheeks, e.g. flushing red 两颊通红.
