- Two readings. As zài: to carry/load: 载客 (zàikè) carry passengers, 承载 (chéngzài) bear weight; 下载 (xiàzài) download.

- Trap: 下载 is standardly xiàzài (many say xiàzǎi colloquially); 记载 is jìzǎi. The 'carry' sense is zài, the 'record' sense is zǎi.
