用法
- To pounce on / throw oneself at: 扑过去 (pū guòqu) lunge over, 猫扑老鼠 (māo pū lǎoshǔ) the cat pounces on the mouse.
- 扑灭 (pūmiè) = to put out (a fire)/stamp out. 扑面而来 (pūmiàn'érlái) = to hit one in the face (of wind, smell, atmosphere).
- Also 'poker': 扑克 (pūkè). 扑空 (pūkōng) = to come up empty / find nobody there.
