The oldest form shows a hand grabbing a person by the braids: a servant or slave.
用法
- Bound and archaic; in modern Mandarin essentially only 奚落 (xīluò): to taunt/mock someone with cutting words.
- 被人奚落 (bèi rén xīluò) = to be jeered at. Classically also a question word 'why/what'.
