One part gives the meaning, the other gives the sound.
The bronze form shows two small plates of gold inside a curved sound part: a unit of weight.
用法
- Bound morpheme for 'even, uniform', chiefly in 均匀 (jūnyún) evenly distributed: 涂抹均匀 (túmǒ jūnyún) spread it evenly.
- As a verb it can mean to share out/spare a portion: 匀出一点时间 (yún chū yìdiǎn shíjiān) spare a little time.
