How it came to be

A sign that points at an idea, often a mark added to a simple drawing.
The oldest form is a hill drawn as two rises with a dip between them.
用法
- A small hill or mound: 丘陵 (qiūlíng) rolling hills, 沙丘 (shāqiū) sand dune.
- Smaller than a mountain 山; used for gentle rises and, historically, grave mounds (坟丘).
- Also a surname (as in Confucius, 孔丘).
