How it came to be
The sign for violent first wrote this word, to set out in the sun; the sun was added at the side later to tell them apart.
用法
- To expose to sun/air. In the common 曝光 (bàoguāng) it means photographic exposure, and by extension to expose a scandal publicly: 丑闻被曝光 (chǒuwén bèi bàoguāng) the scandal was exposed.
- Note the reading shifts to bào in 曝光.
